FAQ (1).png

1. What colours are available for custom closets?

Our most popular choice is standard white, selected by over 95% of clients because it’s cost-effective, quick to install, and matches any wall or floor colour. Coloured finishes are available by special order, but they usually cost more and can take 2–3 weeks longer. White is also the most versatile — if you ever update your floors or walls, it always works, and you can paint over it in the future if you choose.

2. What materials do you use for your closets?

We use industrial-grade melamine, the same durable material used in most kitchens. Our melamine is dense and solid, unlike lower-quality products, which can have air pockets and finishes that peel or bubble. We also offer MDF or solid wood upon request, but these require extra labor for painting or staining, making them more expensive.

3. How thick is the material you use?
Our systems are built with ⅝-inch and ¾-inch panels, depending on the application. Many competitors use thinner ½-inch panels to save on cost, but we believe sturdier thickness ensures greater strength, durability, and a longer lifespan.

4. What custom closet products does Custom Closets GTA provide in the GTA?
We design, manufacture, and install:

  • Walk-in closets

  • Reach-in closets

  • Wardrobes

  • Closet organizers and shelving

  • Kitchen cabinets and pantries

  • Laundry room cabinetry

  • Entertainment units

  • Fireplaces and mantels

  • Other custom cabinetry for your home

5. What hardware do you use (handles, hinges)?
We use top-quality soft-closing hinges and slides, comparable to premium brands like Blum. Standard handles are included with every system at no extra cost. If you’d like a different style, you can supply your own handles, and our installers will install them for free.

6. What are the benefits of custom closets in Ontario?
Custom closets maximize storage space, improve organization, and increase the value of your home. Unlike off-the-shelf solutions, our designs fit perfectly into your space and reflect your style. Plus, all of our installations come with a lifetime warranty, ensuring durability and peace of mind.

7. How to choose the right closet design in the GTA?
Consider your space, storage needs, and style. Do you need more hanging space, drawers, or shelves? Would adjustable shelving benefit you in the long run? Our designers guide you through each decision and create designs to show how your new closet will look before installation.
